We had a wicked week this week with the big full moon and frontal system. Low water and a big mix of fresh water from the Mighty MS played no match with The Big Outdoors Charters and our professional guides!! Tough fishing but in the end we prevailed over Mother Nature! Lots of fish and big smiles came back to the dock! Redfish was the primary target this week since we had so much wind and fresh water. I went and did some looking on Sunday and found a big surprise but I'm not going to reveal this surprise until next week!! Stay tuned for my next report, we have a jam packed week this week with customers in the lodge and fishing. The weather is going to be nice all week and the fishing should be exceptional!

Have you ever caught over 100 redfish in one day of fishing? Well, if you haven't right now is the time to be in Southeast Louisiana! The amount of fish that have moved into our marsh is astounding and I cant remember a spring that's been this good! Catches everyday are 100 plus fish, I had three clients in from south Florida this week for three days of fishing. They tallied over 250 redfish in three days!! Talk about soar arms and hands after all those fish! I'm not sure how long this bite will last but we are enjoying every bit of it while it lasts.
